16th Edition - Forlì / Italy
4/13 October 2019

A whole new and unique distributive opportunity is now available for young filmmakers thanks to the collaboration between the festival and the distribution company.

This collaboration between Sedicicorto International Film Festival and EleNfant distribution started a few months ago with an important partnership, followed by a distribution agreement. And now the operating phase is finally on! In fact, the EleNfant award has been created for all short films that have been selected for this year's edition of the festival that have not yet benefited from any kind of distribution or signed agreements in this regard. The works of up-and-coming directors will receive special attention. The deadline for the selection of the 15th Sedicicorto International Film Festival is set for 27 May 2018.

The award consists of a distribution contract for three years with EleNfant Distribution. The winning film will be further promoted in all festivals in which EleNfant Distribution will participate.

EleNfant Distribution is a distribution company that has been active for over ten years in the field of the distribution of short films in festivals. They work with great passion and enthusiasm in the distribution of high quality short films. In fact, in the last three years, the winning short films of Davide di Donatello have been distributed by EleNfant (Thriller by Giuseppe Marco Albano – 2015; Bellissima by Alessandro Capitani – 2016; A casa mia, by Mario Piredda – 2017). This has made EleNfant a benchmark for short films creators, giving life to a stimulating exchange for the productions of short films both in Italy and abroad. EleNfant also collaborates with Sayonara Film for the distribution of short films in television and theatres.

On the scene since 2004, Sedicicorto International Film Festival is now well-established among the main European festivals entirely dedicated to short films. During all its editions, Sedicicorto has guaranteed the projection of more than 270 films per year, becoming a benchmark for hundreds of Italian and international authors. For the last three years, Sedicicorto has also organised the section CortoInLoco, also defined as "The Oscars of Emilia Romagna", which is a space of promotion for young local authors. Moreover, during the 2018's edition, which will take place in Forlì from 5 to 14 October 2018, Sedicicorto will also host the Italia Film Fedic, a festival that aims to collect the best works coming from the main film clubs of the FEDIC circuit.

The EleNfant award will be presented by Gianluca Castellini, artistic director of Sedicicorto International Film Festival and Adam Selo, president of EleNfant Distribution, on 13 October 2018, during the closing ceremony of the 15th Sedicicorto International Film Festival.
